Research Associate II- Contract - Gaithersburg, MD

天涯社区官网 is seeking a Research Associate to join the Formulation Development team.

Primary Responsibilities:

This role will contribute to the development of both liquid and lyophilized vaccine formulations, supporting product development from initial candidate screening through to commercialization. This position requires leadership in laboratory duties and some independence in executing studies.

Skills & Requirements:

• Relevant experience in formulation product development, Quality by Design (QbD), and Design of Experiment (DOE) processes.
• Hands-on experience with bio/analytical and physicochemical characterizations of proteins.
• Research experience in protein synthesis, structure, stability, aggregation, and solubility is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

The Research Associate II's responsibilities will be:

• Develop, characterize, and evaluate formulations for preclinical and early clinical studies in both solid and liquid forms.
• Perform comprehensive characterization of candidate drug products to assess their physicochemical properties using techniques such as ELISA, SRID, AUC, CD, Fluorescence spectroscopy, DSC, ITC, UV/Vis spectroscopy, FTIR, SLS, and HPLC.
• Assist in scaling up drug product processes from bench top to pilot scale and facilitate technology transfers.
• Support the formulation of small and large scale lots of liquid, frozen, or lyophilized drug substances/products.
• Assist in the development of formulation studies and design protocols.
• Manage projects involving other research associates to support larger drug development initiatives.
• Write technical reports and develop standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Prepare data summary presentations, compile data, and author technical reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
