The solution

After commencing the search, we contacted a very senior, director level candidate, who was looking for a new opportunity as her current role had limited studies available due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which was ongoing at the time. She was more qualified than our partner had initially requested, however she had a very strong profile and due to our deep understanding of the business, we identified that she could be a key strategic hire for their South Korean operations. She was also one of the most senior profiles in the South Korean market and was highly sought after by a previous manager. Due to the hierarchical nature of South Korean society, this became a tricky process to navigate for all parties, however she was impressed by our partner and their platform and was firm in her decision to be put forward. 

The outcome

Our partner was delighted with the introduction and hired her as the clinical operations director for South Korea. 

We continue to partner with this company, collaborating in Taiwan, Hong Kong and South Korea within the clinical research space.
